This past Sunday at one28, SKH gave a sermon on the genealogies from Genesis 10. I have come to know that I find more enjoyment in hearing sermons on genealogies then I do in reading them. Most of the time there is a lot of names and not a lot of information about them. Now some of the people we can learn a lot more from others because of what Scripture says about them, but most of the time I am left wondering who in the world is that person.
Even in our family Bible study, we have been studying in Philippians 2:19-30 about Timothy and Epaphroditus. While Scripture has more to say about Timothy then Epaphroditus, I think in the bigger picture is that behind each genealogy and person mentioned in the Bible and for all of man-kind there is a testimony linked with every soul.
Do you ever wonder what someone else would write about you?
What testimony are we leaving with those around us?
I totally understand that what we do should not be done to please man, but only to please God. But the truth is what others say does matter in regards to our testimony. What would those who are around you everyday say about your life in Christ? Would they see Christ in you or would the see a life without Christ? Because if your playing the part on Sunday your family and friends know.... it never hurts to ask others what they see in you.
What is your testimony?

Good questions. Thanks for encouraging me to think about my testimony...I think this especially about my family. What will my kids say of me later in life? Will they say, "mom is the most Christ-like person I know". I am afraid right now they can't say that.
